Who pays us
Licensed lenders, loan brokers, banks, deposit platforms, brokers and other financial providers pay Nordsek a referral fee when a visitor goes from one of our country sites to their site and starts or completes an application. Every provider that pays us is listed by country on the partners page, with the regulator that licenses it.
Some partners pay per click, some per completed application, and some a share of the product's first-year revenue. The amount differs by partner and by product. We do not publish individual rates, because they are set in commercial contracts, but the model is the same across all of them: a fixed fee for a referral.
What you pay
Nothing. The interest rate, fee or premium a provider offers you is the same whether you arrive through Nordsek or go to the provider directly. The referral fee comes out of the provider's marketing budget, not out of your product.
What the money does not buy
Position in a comparison. Results on the country sites are ordered by the key figure for the category, for example the APR for loans or the effective annual rate for savings, as described in our methodology. A partner cannot pay to move up. Where a list is not ordered by a figure, for instance because the products are not directly comparable, we say so on the page.
Editorial content. The guides on this site and on the country sites are written by our editors under the editorial policy. Partners do not see them before publication and cannot commission, edit or veto them.
Inclusion. We list providers we do not have a contract with when they are relevant and licensed. They simply do not pay us, and we cannot always show a live rate for them.
The English site
The pages you are reading now, at nordsek.eu in English, contain no partner links and earn nothing. Their job is to explain how products work across the EU and to send you to the comparison in your own country, where the partner relationships apply.
What we are not
Nordsek is not a bank, a lender, an insurer or an investment firm, and we do not give personal financial advice. We are an independent comparison service. The contract for any product is always between you and the licensed provider.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, write to us through the contact page. If you believe a page on this site is influenced by a commercial relationship, tell us; we will look into it and correct the page if you are right.
